AND SO IT BEGINS

If I said that I had a pony.

I would be a liar.

Cuz I don't have a pony.

I always wanted one since I was little.

But I guess I'll just have to make do with a Rapidash.

Actually, I never wanted a pony. I wanted a horse.

I had no idea what ponies were. 8D

  1. Summer school chem has officially affected you, if that's why your blog name/username is what it is! Unless you actually like the class. In which case, I retract my statement o.O

    P.s.----

I like that your blog actually seems fun, so far. I feel like all I ever talk about is my dismal life D:

  2. xD Yeah, I decided to name my stupid blog after the worst subject in school. >.< But I think that the consonants and syllables and vowels flow nicely in the name. The word lovely just looks plain lovely. 8D Add it to chemist and VIOLA you have a pretty nice screenname 8D

The first time I read your username/screenname I wondered what it meant, then I scrolled down and found out on one of the sidebar boxes. xD What is ESO?

Your blog doesn't have to be unhappy and dismal. D8 You can make it fun! Just add a little humor to the everyday, I guess. Like sneezing on produce and watching people pick it up later. 8D I would do that, since most people wash their fruits and veggies before they eat them anyway. xD

  3. For a while, I thought you titled your blog "Speaking of Hydrogen and Helium" because those are the two most common elements---something like they make up 99% of the universe! Plus, they're the most simple and can connect with loads of things.

(Sorry, but, like I said, I took bio this summer, and bio had a giant chem portion, so it's still fresh in mah mind! Honestly, taking the class made me miss both bio and chem. It almost made me wish I were a science major D: )

And, yeah, ESO's my initials. Sarah's my middle name. For a while, I was bummed my initials didn't spell EMO, honestly, then I realized that was cheesey, anyway, so I created soemoimeso. It puts a spin on it XD

And, yeah---I wish I were funny. For a while, when I was reading a lot of Animorphs, I thought I was picking up a bit of Marco's voice. (Yeah, go figure, once I DO actually start picking up a sense of humor, it's from a kid's book series D:)

  4. I just titled it what first came to my mind. Helium and Hydrogen were the first things to pop into my brain. 8D I like them because they begin with the same consonant. There's a rhyme form name thing for that and I forgot what it was called. Allieration?

I DIDN'T KNOW THAT WAS CHUR FURST NAEM! 8D So we're like first-name middle-name buddies! Yaay! xDDD Yeah, that's lame. I hate it when your name acronym doesn't come out like you would like it to be. For mine, I was always mistaken as Sarah Jr. >.< I don't know about my brother, but his acronyms could spell out J Mr. o.0 But that's creative. 8D More people should be eso instead of emo. xDD

Ah, those Animorph days. 8D I wonder, does the comic relief in any story have to be the guy who doesn't racially fit in? I was always under the impression that Marco was hispanic or something like that and a sort of animorph-version Fez. o.o But nobody seems to think he's creepy or whatever... but it's not wrong or bad to pick up a voice from a story. 8D It's like getting into a writing mood. One day, you want to write fanfics for House and the next day you might want to write poetry concerning the whales being hunted in Whale Wars. 8D

Maybe I should write some whale poetry...?

  5. Yeah---I once met a girl named Sarah Elizabeth, which I thought was even MORE coincidental.

I'm now slightly led to believe that all Sarahs and Elizabeths like to write. How irrational is my logic XD

And, ha---Jess is the only other person I know who actually watches Whale Wars. I've never understood the point of the show, but I like the theme song (though, it's not THE best Smashing Pumpkins song).

    WRITE A WHALE POE-UM! :D

    ReplyDelete
  6. HOMG THAT IS SO TRUE I have yet to meet a Sarah or Elizabeth who does not like to write. o.o It's destiny.

I've never watched whale wars. Don't watch much TV in general. >.< We don't get very good channels anyway and all of the good shows that come on are 1) on late in the night 2) on early in the morning 3) on friday evenings and 4) on all the channels we DON'T have. We did get to watch Spirited Away on the sundance channel once, which made me happy. I want to watch it again sooo bad. >.<

KAY WHALE POEM HURR IT COMETH

  7. That's funny---yesterday, I almost blogged about how my family's upgraded our cable package. Now, Jess and dad've got a zillion channels (though, they're mostly sports channels, cuz he got the sports package).

Now, I'm pretty bummed. As it was, I never got a chance to watch tv (not that I liked it much, anyway). Now I'll NEVER get to watch tv. There's always something good on; they never leave the tv alone.

    But, ah, well.

It was my choice not to have a tv in my room, anyway. I've always figured that my computer is distraction enough, as it is. Any more distraction and you'd see pixels in mah eyes D:

And, yeah---Spirited Away = one of THE best movies ever. I've always thought that it was quietly artistic, in a way; it's not super stereotypical, in comparison to other anime.

I remember, sometimes, when Cartoon Network would have movie month, they'd play it and I'd get excited XD

Finally, wait, going back to your last post, wut's the "J" stand for?

And, wait, no, that wasn't "finally," sorry---I'm speechless to your whale poem. Have you ever read the miniature play "Moby-Dude, or: The Three-Minute Whale" by David Ives? Yea? Nay? Cuz I think you'd like it. It's really playful and seems like your writing style.

If you can't find it online, I could probably scan it or re-type it; it's short :3

  8. xD I love all of Hiyao Miyazaki's movies. I once went to go see Ponyo with a small group and one of the boys (who came along all on his own, nobody forced him to) told me he didn't like the movie. I didn't blame him. It was aimed towards children.

Spirited Away is supposed to have a bunch of themes locked in it, and one of them is "passage into adulthood", in a japanese Alice in Wonderland style. I guess the underlying themes are what makes it seem artistic, but it's also Miyazaki's art style that adds true beauty. 8D But My Neighbor Totoro will be my Miyazaki love forever.

Craptoon Network can have the worst shows and also the coolest cartoons on it. When movie night comes on, I always hope that it's some rad anime but I'm usually never there to watch for one. >.< Do you remember Toonami?

    J stands for Justine 8D

And I have not heard of that poem. Really, I was just pulling random words out of my ass, but I guess it worked with a little wikipedia research. xD I'll check it out and let you know if I can find it. 8D

  9. Agreed: Ponyo is, like all of Hiyao Miyazaki's movies, beautiful, artistically. BUT, honestly, I wasn't really feeling the storyline. I was like, "Zomgwtf?! This seems like a typical, modern teeny story of a kid's family torn apart and the kid worrying!" I also thought it was kind of creepy how the fish girl fell in love with Sasuke D:

I also never know when movie nights are---most of the time, when a movie IS on, it's Pokemon, and I've walked in when it's half over.

    MEWTWO STRIKES BACK FTW!!!!

I've always loved his quote, "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are."

When I was a sophomore, or something, a bunch of people were convinced that I was destined to be an evil person, based on the biblical (and culturally-fostered) idea that "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Hearing Mewtwo's quote, afterward, always made meh feel happy and vindicated :D

And yes! I remember Toonami, though I seem to remember it on Kid's WB more.

Dunno if Kid's WB even exists anymore, seeing as the channel's become the CW, or something. It'd be interesting to watch cartoons for a Saturday and see what's out there, now, though, I figure, I'll probably just get a headache like always and be like, "Cartoons were so much better when I was a kid!!!!" XD It'll make me feel old and self-important D:

And, yeah! I remember in creative writing you said your middle name and said that you hated it, or something; that, or you hated your first name. Anyway, EVERYONE seemed to hate their middle name, when they were discussing it. I think you mentioned disliking your first name, and I was like, "Zomg, now I REALLY can't say my middle name!" (Not that I would have, anyway; I was too quiet :P )

  10. NOOOOOOOO!

Blogger yelled at me and told me that my "URI request was too large, or something!" No idea what that means...

Anyway, what I said, basically, was that I agree: Hiyao Miyazaki's movies are artistically beautiful, BUT I didn't really feel the storyline of Ponyo. It felt like a typical story---a kid's family's falling apart because of the navy, or whatnot, and he's worried. I also felt like that fish girl was pretteh creepy, falling in love with Sasuke so fast like that D:

And, yeah---whenever I walk in on movie night, I seem to walk in during a half-finished Pokemon movie.

    MEWTWO STRIKES BACK FTW!!!!!!!

I've always loved Mewtwo's quote, "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.

When I was a sophomore, especially, a bunch of people thought I was destined to be a bad person, cuz I come from a bad family, and, biblically (and culturally, I guess), it's supported that "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." So, after I read Mewtwo's quote, I felt happeh and vindicated, like they were wrong about me! :D

And, yeah, I remember Toonami, but I remember it moreso on Kid's WB.

I think it would be interesting to spend a Saturday morning watching cartoons, even though I'd probably get a headache and walk away bitterly muttering, "Cartoons were better when *I* was a kid!" It'd still be fun :D

And, I remember in creative writing you once said your middle name, but either you said you disliked your middle name or your first---I don't remember which it was. I just remember that everyone was sharing their middle name, and nobody seemed especially happy about theirs. I don't think I said mine, though; I was too quiet >.<

  11. DAMMIT! It told me it wouldn't post it, then posted it anyway, but I didn't realize it till after I'd re-written it.

    BLOGGER IS TRICKSY!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Well, the only reason I really hate my first name is because I share it with EVERYONE and their brother. I kind of wish I was given a dominantly male name, like Stevie Nicks. Or even Patrick would work. I can see a girl being named Patrick. 8D

And yes, blogger ish a tricky dehvil. o.o WE MUST MURDER.

I watch the CW cartoons on sat if I can. It's usually just crappy stuff, but if you get up early enough, you get to watch the good stuff. The only crappy thing about watching CW instead of CN is that Sonic X comes on about the same time as YuGiOh does. >.< I kind of miss YuGiOh GX, bexcause it was all schooley and stuff..

BTW have you ever seen: Code Lyoko, Biker Mice from Mars, or Di-Gata Defenders?

ALSO furst pokemon movie ftw. I love the song they played when the pokemon were all fighting their twins. "brother, my bruuuuttthhherrr..." xDD

  13. When I was younger, I hated my first name cuz it wasn't "cool"---it wasn't spelled funny or popular-sounding, like Jessica's was. Now, though, I'm at least a little alright with it---at least I know my name is timeless; plus, it's in a ton of literary works. And, I know that cool people have it. (But then, duh! When you have a popular name, OF COURSE someone cool has got to have it >.< )

Anyway! When I was younger, for the most part, I wished my first name were Sarah, but I never had the guts to be one of those kids who goes by their middle name; I never really had the courage to tell my dad I hated the name he/my mom gave me.

Still, one time I had a keychain made that said Sarah, with a Golden Retriever or something on it, cuz I was obsessed with dogs and, like I said, I hated my name. When asked why I made it Sarah, I lied and said Elizabeth just didn't fit on it---it was too long of a name.

    Anyway!

That's one thing that I always wanted, then, and now that I'm older, is a guy's name, too, or at least a unisex name.

That's one thing that I've always hated about parents---how they name their kids with the "typical"-sounding name that matches their gender. What REALLY gets me is when parents insist that they'll treat their kids the same, no matter what sex their kid is, but then, when asked what they'll name their kid, they'll say, "Well, if I have a girl, I'll name her ____, but if I have a boy, I'll name him ____."

Uh, hello!!! Was that not sex bias?!

(Sorry, it's just something I'm passionate about---sex and gender issues. {Yesh! There is a difference and I constantly feel a need to point that out to people and I've done tons of research projects on it :3 })

Because lots of people confuse me for a boy, I've been wanting to just start going by a guy's name, if only informally, just to see how many people I trick. (I TRICK, TOO, BLOGGER, HAH!)

Buttt, I think you saw my facebook post about that alreadeh :D

And, yeah---I remember definitely watching Sonic. (Dunno if it was Sonic X, though, while I was watching.) And I remember watching Yu-Gi-Oh GX. (Soooo didn't appreciate how there was no more Yugi! I mean, come on---what's the point of Yu-Gi-Oh without Yugi/Yami and all of the Egyptian drama?!)

I do remember watching Code Lyoko, sometimes, but not often.

And, no, I've never heard of Biker Mice from Mars or Di-Gata Defenders. Pourquoi? (Why?)

I also liked the Pokemon songs---especially the songs that they played at the end of the episodes, around the time of the Orange Islands (or whatever), with Tracy. My sister had the tape (yeah, it was really that old school), and we'd play the music all the time, like the "Team rocket's rockin'" one, and like "You and me and Pokemon." I dunno, there were a bunch. When I was older, I went back and listened to some of those songs on the internet and realized how 80s-y (or whatever) those songs sound like now @.@

  14. Biker Mice from Mars was one of the COOLEST cartoons I had ever watched. EVER. It was pretty much these anthropomorphic mice with washboard abs riding motorcycles all around the city of chicago and they were from Mars. 8D I couldn't stop laughing the first time I watched it. Who could of thought of something like this?

And Di-Gata Defenders wasn't especially special, but it still was cool. Some 14 year old kids with these cube-shaped rocks that had special powers and also had guardian creatures that lived in rocks like these (except for one girl, whose beast lived inside a jewel on her necklace). I made a fanfic for it on the site, and the chick I made had this rad creature as a guardian thingy. It was a chimera, but not like your normal roman chimera. It was like a lion-elk-eagle hybrid that had two tails with weapons at the end and its four legs were surrounded by cloudy foggy stuff so that it could fly. 8D If I can find a pic of it, I'll upload it. 8D

AND what about those pokemon raps? UGH we have a clip of it non a pokemon movie dvd copy, and boy does it suck. >.< I can sing the first original lyrics to the pokemon theme song. 8D That's how often I watched it as a caterpie. xD

    ReplyDelete
  15. Anthropomorphic creatures scare the hell out of me! Once, I saw this super realistic Naruto-fox picture and freaked. The owl in the Avatar cartoon series scared me! Monkeys are scary, too; they're like animals mixed with people D:

And, I dunno what washboard abs are, but I'd assume they're either super ripped or wussily ripped. Which one, I don't know.

"Surrounded by cloudy foggy stuff so that it could fly" = ftw and super creative. That makes me want to see your creature!

Anddd, I dunno that I was ever crazy about the Pokeraps. I'm probably bitter toward those because, often, I would come home late from school and miss most of the cartoon episode; all that would be left to watch was the Pokerap D:

I also think it's funny that you refer to yourself as a "Caterpie," as a kid. Marilyn Manson refers to himself as a "worm," during his childhood years; what you said reminded me of that :3

    ReplyDelete
  16. Washboard abs are super ripped. 8D But they weren't like bodybuilder all over, just a little ripped, especially their abs. xD

Some people can do anthros well, others cannot. It all depends on the animal/human ratio. Only some fit well. Like, if they are more human than animal with ears and teeth (if they are carnivore) and a tail of the animal, then that's okay. If they have all of the animal traits but stand bipedal and speak, then that's okay too. It's when you get those ugly hybrid bastard children that it gets freaky. xD

    Pokeraps sucked. Nuff said.

I don't think it at all strange that Marilyn Manson would call himself a worm as a child. He's creepy enough to say stuff like that and get away with it. Now, if Tom Cruise or Vin Diesel said they were a "worm" as a child, psychiatrists would be ringing up their houses up the wazoo. xD Nah, it would probably be less dramatic, but you get what I'm saying. Tom Cruise would only refer to worms in terms of his gardening, anyway. xDD

    ReplyDelete
  17. Random, but I think it's hilarious that Oslo's dad's name is Vin Diesel.

When I'm petting him, "I can be like, 'Who's your daddy? Who's your daddy?! VIN DIESEL!!!!!'"

Sorry, I may the only person who that actually amuses XD

    ReplyDelete
  18. xDD That's cute! I would be cracking up right there with you because that is the most random thing to name a dog. Vin Diesel? I might as well name my fish Jennifer Lopez. xD
